I am running on server 08 and IIS 7.. I cant track down if its a CERT issues or permissions... Anyone out there running a similar set up and have it working? If so can you post some configs... ? skype window shows an exclamation mark bottom right. cannot synchronize address book. skype for business can't sync with your organization's address book right now. issue present on new build pc with clean profile. issue not present in skype for business 2013. address book is searchable and skype is working as expected. If you get nothing - or an IIS error, on the Lync server, try opening the same URL. Open IIS on the Lync server, ensure App Pools are running. In IIS, also ensure the appropriate web sites are running. Check eventlog for errors/cert issues etc. This should give you some direction of where to look next.
