I have the same problem in my office. But is happening just to one person, isnt a general issue. Ive noted as well that the OC of this user syncs with its personal contact list instead of its corporate address book. I tryied to delete the GalContacts.dbf(or something like that) and it didnt work. I reinstall the client without results.

The client downloads the addressbook from the Webserver component in OCS The client also uses the IE proxy settings and if your Webserver components FQDN is not an exception in your options then it will try to find it through the proxy server and probably it will not find it.
